Sometimes, when an artist desperately needs to get out of a recording contract, they release filler albums, wether its a Christmas album, a Bar Mitzvah album or a Funeral Album, and that exactly what Mary J. Blige is doing to help pay off her debt to the IRS and Geffen Records. Let’s see how this goes. Her last few albums, (regardless of how good) flopped completely!
According to AAP :
R&B star Mary J Blige is set to team up with veteran producer David Foster for her first Christmas album.
Blige will follow in the festive footsteps of Foster’s previous collaborators Michael Buble, Rod Stewart and Celine Dion and record a series of seasonal favourites.
A Mary Christmas will be released in October.
